Pre-release / Local reasoning / Receipts
Local intelligence.Verified knowledge.Governed action.
MARS is a memory-augmented reasoning system: a compact local model that navigates versioned, proof-bearing knowledge in Hyphae under the governed HiveMind runtime.
02 / RECEIPTS
Passes matter. Rejections do, too.
The governed runtime reports 20 of 20 test suites passing, and the MARS-1 Q4 consumer-hardware gate measured 50.2 tokens per second at a 3,098 MiB peak on an 8,151 MiB GPU.
PASS
20 / 20Runtime suites
Executive, verifier, exact binding, and planner under the governed contract.
PASS
50.2 tok/sMARS-1 Q4 gate
Measured on an RTX 5050 laptop; 3,098 MiB peak over 8,151 MiB.
PASS
491 / 491Parent preservation
The promoted nine-channel component exactly preserved pinned base-model outputs.
REJECTED
86.1%Q4 source pointer
It missed the at-least-99% gate. Full-body promotion was rejected.
03 / CONTRACT
Local-first without giving the model total authority.
Local by design
The compact model runs on user hardware and the governed API remains on loopback.
Versioned memory
Hyphae preserves durable knowledge and recoverable evidence, not ephemeral context relabeled as memory.
Separate governance
HiveMind controls lifecycle, permissions, context, timeouts, and verification without delegating them to the model.
Provable abstention
An answer without sufficient source support is rejected; the receipt preserves the decision and its limit.
04 / BOUNDARY
Pre-release means the gate can still fail.
The full Q4 body was rejected at 86.1% source-pointer accuracy against a gate of at least 99%, and the admitted MARS-T work is only a bounded ternary slice, not a complete ternary model.
- MARS has not shipped as a product: there is no SemVer release, download, promised date, or publicly linkable repository.
- The full Q4 body missed its source-pointer gate; the parent hardware pass is not a governed composite packaged under 8 GB.
- MARS-T has only one admitted bounded ternary slice. A complete publishable ternary model does not yet exist.
- 128K describes exceptional physical context capacity, not guaranteed comprehension or uniform quality.
05 / PROGRAM STATUS
Receipts decide when MARS can ship.
MARS is pre-release and in active development. Its public release remains planned at 0%, and MARS has not shipped as a product.
